A Horse With a Horn

A Horse with a Horn is the experimental music project from the mind of artist and producer Derek Wanker. Born in Oklahoma City, he grew up playing in many different musical acts ranging in style from rock, to indie, to electropop. He eventually moved to Los Angeles to pursue a future creating pop/punk electronica.

Inspired by a variety of artists, from Fischerspooner, Nine Inch Nails, to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, he builds a unique sound from his eclectic musical influences. His androgynous voice pairs with the synthetic sounds of the early electroclash music scene and all comes together to celebrate queer stories in love and life. After his debut album "Mindless", he has become a burgeoning artist in Los Angeles's queer and indie music scene.
